MobilityWorks President/CEO Bill Koeblitz was officially inducted into the Staples Foundation for Learning-Initiative for a Competitive Inner City Hall of Fame, which honors companies that have appeared on the Inner City 100 for five years or more. The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, or ICIC, is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote economic prosperity in America’s inner cities. The Inner City 100 is a list published annually by ICIC, ranking the fastest growing businesses within America’s inner cities and honors entrepreneurs committed to bringing economic opportunity to these areas.

Akron-based MobilityWorks is ranked 68th on the 2009 Inner City 100 list and has appeared on the list 5 times since 2005. MobilityWorks sells and services vehicles modified to accommodate people with disabilities and has succeeded by understanding the physical and financial circumstances of its clients.
