The Airpulse PK is a powered, alternating pressure, wheelchair cushion system that was designed for use by those individuals who currently have or are at high risk for pressure sores. Alternate air cells inflate/deflate automatically to the desired pressure on an adjustable timed cycle. This alternating action relieves pressure and stimulates circulation which helps heal and prevent pressure sores. The Airpulse PK is customized to the end-users specific physical characteristics which enhances the chance for success at preventing pressure sores. The Airpulse PK has a built in low pressure and low battery alarm system for safety. Options include a remote control for convenient operation and a moisture control unit which helps keep the skin cool and dry.
